I have always loved the Forties, the style of dress was so feminine and tailored. Right now that trend really speaks to me. Especially when I made this dress for a client this past spring.
She wanted something timeless and yet unique and beautiful. We picked out a light weight stretch wool blend in a soft dove gray. I had the empire-waisted pattern and we just added the collar and shoulder detail. I love how well it came out and she loved the fit and has received several comments on it.
